Organic Restaurant Kaemon Asakusa acquired HALAL certificate on November 11th, 2015.
*Although they offer alcohol drinks, all food items are HALAL.
This is a HALAL certificate promotion services with the cooperation of Taito ward and Okachimachi mosque. A press conference was held, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia as well as Taito ward mayor arrived to the scene.
Taito ward is planning on increasing 10 HALAL-friendly restaurants within a year, and will issue Taito Muslim along with this to welcome Muslim people from around the world.
Japan Halal Foundation represented by Mr. Nazeer of Okachimachi mosque issued the certificate.
Mr. Nazeer tells us why we should not only pay attention to HALAL but that we should understand why it is important to conform to these rules. He has a strong will of wanting everyone to properly understand HALAL by studying through the process.
Organic Restaurant Kaemon is creating a place where everyone can communicate and understand each other and to have fun while eating regardless of eschatology, beliefs, or race with barrier-free dishes. Kaemon is a restaurant specialized in oriental vegetarian dishes, and is offering dishes with dishes based on Buddhism such as Japanese vegetarian dishes. Oriental vegetarian dishes help meditating the mind and body to stay rational. They eliminated cooking wines such as mirin from their ingredients in acquiring the certificate, but are offering dishes with excellent cooking skills without procrastinating on the taste.
