Ippin

You might be familiar with the famous Malaysian cartoon TV show, “Ippin Uppin” which the story is about twin brothers who study in elementary school and living with their grandmother and older sister. But do you know that the owner of this TV show is opening a Halal Restaurant in Tokyo, Japan?!

“IPPIN RESTAURANT” is serving halal food, which are the combination of Malaysian and Japanese food, which the main is teppanyaki (the food is cooked on the top of big flat plate). I and my friend came from Singapore visited this restaurant for the first time. The Store Manager and the Chef are really happy to see moslems coming to their restaurant and started conversation with us especially about the Islamic world and our preference about food.

We ordered shrimp gyoza, chicken karaage, beef teppanyaki and bamboo fried rice. The beef teppanyaki is so nice and they have special sauce that we love so much. It tastes sweet, salty and spicy. I am so happy since it is really difficult to find halal gyoza (dumpling) in Tokyo. They are so delicious and we can eat without worrying. Another good news is the Store Manager gave us the chicken karaage for FREE!! We are really happy.

This restaurant can be reached from Ebisu Station and the place is also very cozy and nice. If you look for halal restaurant in Tokyo, please come and visit this restaurant.
