Halal Japanese restaurant Kappou Yama, which has become a hot topic in Saitama Prefecture, exhibited at the recent HKTDC Food Expo 2014 held in Hong Kong. In this column, I would like to relay the report on this Expo, known as the world’s largest food trade fair, we received from Kappou Yama.
We (Kappou Yama) exhibited our Halal jam in five flavors – mandarin, peach, blueberry, strawberry, and apple – at the HKTDC Food Expo 2014 from August 14 to 17.
Our Halal jam is prepared without any sweeteners, and uses domestic fruits. Our booth was visited by many Muslim buyers and customers and our Jam was a big hit. There was a great response to the production of MADE IN JAPAN Halal products in particular, and we are now engaged in a number of business discussions as a result of our exhibition. Incidentally, peach was the most popular flavor.
We will also be selling our Halal jam at the Japan Halal EXPO 2014 in November. We hope to see you there!
