On the last 29th of November 2015, a restaurant named Le-Cour whi
ch is located in Ashikaga-shi, Tochigi prefecture, held a Muslim-friendly buffet event.
I was keen with the news that I decided to join the event, along with my husband and my baby. The first time we reached the restaurant, we were really amazed by the beauty of the place. The restaurant itself was decoratively skirted by olive trees and the glorious beam of light flashed the restaurant, creating a romantic ambience.
We were instantly greeted by the Le-Cour’s owner, Mr Kazuhito Takei-san and we were then attended by a friendly staff to our seats.
There were about 30 people that took part in the event, of which they represented HMJ, Halal Ramen Restaurant, Halal Bentou Restaurant as well as a group of Malaysian students from Gunma and Utsunomiya University. Not to forget, a Muslim family from Saitama who willingly paid a visit to this event.
A various type of mouth-watering French cuisines with a touch of Palestine were prepared by talented chefs and it was undeniably delicious in addition to its exquisite food presentation. Besides the outstanding food they served, other services such as a prayer room and a baby nursing room were catered for us, the Muslims. I have to admit that the staffs and the chefs were indeed friendly for we had a great conversation together. They were extremely polite and always offered a helping hand. There was one time, I needed to change my baby’s diaper and to my surprise, one of the staffs helped me out by providing me a clean baby changing mat, sanitizer, warm towels and antibacterial hand wash. I was touched by such thoughtful service. Truly, this event was family-friendly.
One of the things that I love the most about the event (besides the marvelous food and the chance to meet new people) was the stylish feature of the restaurant. Its arrangement of lighting, decorations as well as spotless dimension, are certainly perfect for special occasions such as a candle light dinner, a wedding proposal and an anniversary. Definitely, I will be coming back to this restaurant but with different purposes. A million thanks to Le-Cour for tattooing such a memorable, unforgettable moment in my life.
