Hello everyone! Today’s upcoming news is about a fantastic halal event held by collaboration of sympathetic Toyo university students from Tokue Seminar and friendly Japanese companies.
On June 27th 2015, “Kunitachi to the world ~Iftar party~” was held at Yaho in Kunitachi city, Tokyo where we can observe a nice view of vast rice field, and great nature.
This event’s concept was to have a cultural exchange with Japanese and Muslims, and get in the pleasure having artistic halal culinary. The owner of the BBQ garden supported Toyo university students a lot, and they used electrolysis water that is non-alcohol, so they could invite Musulims. They never knew that there’s such a water like this, but indeed it helped them a lot.
Hokubee Co., Chabachahonpo, KOTOBUKI FOOD INDUSTRY Co., LTD, YUKIWA Co., MOMOTARO FOODS SDN BHD, Italian restaurant Pran Pone, and NOUTENKI sponsored the foods and beverages and supported the party.
They arranged Halal Italian culinary in BBQ style. That day was on Ramadan, so while waiting for the sunset, Mr.Takahashi from Made In Japan Halal Support Association and Mr.Shugo from HALAL MEDIA JAPAN held us a seminar about “The reality of Halal” to tell us the correct information and truth of what is Halal, and what’s the status quo in Japanese Halal business.
At the seminar, it was impressing that Mr.Shugo told students that the most important thing is how we can get primary data, not secondary one from Muslims. We should believe the real voices of Muslims, not the secondary data which someone has already observed to use for business. Students learned the importance to consult the primary data to determine the real essence.
After the seminar, they welcomed the Muslims and enjoyed Halal Italian culinary. There were Halal Italian Salad, Sirloin steak served by basil sauce, Italian Yakisoba, Halal Hamburg steaks, and three types of jam sandwiches. There was also Lemon Myrtle tea, green tea, and brown rice tea sponsored by Chabachahonpo.
They interacted with each other for a long time enjoying halal culinary together, and it was very precious time for the students, because they don’t usually have such a chance like this to talk with many Muslims.
The first impression to Muslims they had, such as they need extreme cautious of food, language barrier, grumpy… and so on, but these were totally wrong. They were friendly from the heart, honest, and had humility same like us. They are the same human like us, just having religious and cultural differences.
Special thanks to Mr.Takahashi from Made In Japan Halal Support Association, Mr.Shugo from HALAL MEDIA JAPAN, Mr.Ono from NOUTENKI, Associate Professor Tokue and his students, and sponsoring companies to providing them a chance to learn the reality of Halal, and let us interact with Muslims. They learn how Halal is deeply interesting, and how lovely the Muslims are. To get Halal authentication isn’t the most important subject. We should start from Muslim friendly, make a style of Muslim-Welcome.
