Halal Shami Kebab(Flatten Balls) Recipe -Ramadan special-

Shami kebabs are very popular snack in Pakistan. It is part of the Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi cuisines. Shami kebabs are boiled meat(mutton) and chickpeas with whole hot spices whole ginger,whole garlic and some salt to taste until completely tender.

Summery
Boil meat with chickpeas and all spices.
Grind meat into fine paste.
Chopped coriander,chopped green chilies and chopped onions.
Add coriander,green chilies ,onions, salt as per your taste and eggs into meat paste.
Mix it well.
Shape the dough into small round flatten balls or kebabs.

Ingredients
- 500 gms beef boneless (Halal)
- 2 Eggs
- 1 medium sized chopped Onion
- 5 Green Chilly chopped
- 100 gms chickpeas soaked overnight or ad with meat to boil
- 10 pods Garlic
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 4 Cardamoms
- 1″ long piece Cinnamon
- 1″ long piece Ginger
- 6 Pepper corns
- 4 Red Chillies
- Oil for frying
How to make shami Kebabs
- Boil meat in 3 cups of water add chickpeas, salt and whole hot spices or you can use spice powder too till water is absorbed and meat is tender.
- Grind meat into a fine paste.
- Now mix well beaten eggs and prepare a uniform dough.
- Add finely chopped green chillies,onions and coriander leaves to dough and mix well.
- Shape the dough into small round flatten balls or kebabs.
- Heat oil and deep fry kebabs till golden brown and serve hot with sauce.
Great Idea
- Ramadan is now you can have these kebab in Suhur as well.
- You can make wrap or roll just like shawarma.
- Eat with Japanese rice use in obento.
- Make sandwiches.
