Halal sweets made from traditional Japanese ingredients without any additives
“Magic sweets” manufactured by “Kenkoshoku Kenkyujo” of Tezuka Shouji acquired HALAL certificate from Japan Halal Foundation. We interviewed Ms. Abe on motivations behind acquiring the certificate.
Motivation behind starting Muslim-friendly services?
We were selling sweets made without any additives, when we were told by a Muslim acquaintance that these sweets were “HALAL.” We since have had more chance talking to Muslims, and heard that they are struggling to find HALAL food while living in Japan, and was told that “It would help to have a HALAL certificate.” We would like more Muslim people to know about our delicious Japanese sweets.
