Located in Yanaka district in Ginza, Nippori, Zakuro is a Turkish Restaurant that is not only serving traditional Turkish cuisine but also selling Turkish authentic goods and snacks. The owner is a Turkish man who is married to a Japanese woman.

Step into the restaurant, we will be amazed by the beautiful Turkish lamps hanging on the restaurant’s ceilling. The decorations that are displayed in restaurant are also vendible items that customers can purchase. This restaurant concept is floor-dining without any chairs available, sitting on only pillows and couples of table in the middle.

Zakuro Turkish Restaurant

Zakuro serves lunch set at noon and lunch is 1,000 JPY. We start our meal off with appetizer like salad with ground beef and potato meatballs, pickles and olives. For the main course, Zakuro serves curry goat with rice, wheat bread, peas and spiced potato. And for dessert, we can enjoy delicious Turkish shaved ice. Meals are served with hot tea served with blocks of sugars and rosewater lemonade juice.

While eating, waiters will go around serving additional foods like cheese pizza, sausage wheat bread rolls, Samosa and other additional foods. Traditional Turkish costumes are available for customers, such as Turkish hats for man, and traditional dresses and vests for woman. Customer can choose favorite spot to take picture, like riding camel statue in the middle of the room.

Zakuro serves lots of delicious food, friendly waiters that calling their customer “Bijin-san” and “Ikemen-san” which means beautiful and handsome customer and gives great attractions that make customers feel comfortable and enjoy the meal, so then customer will keep coming back. That’s why Zakuro has many loyal customers.
