Ramen is very popular among Japanese and foreign people. Although it is originally from China, it developed independently from the original style, and is now considered the national food of Japan loved by men and women of all ages. In this issue, we will introduce to you HALAL ramen shops in Tokyo area. You can enjoy various ramen depending on the shop, such as rich chicken and seafood soup ramen.

Halal Ramen Honolu (Shibuya-ku & Chuo-ku, Tokyo)

Honoru is a popular ramen shop with locations near Ebisu and Nihonbashi in Tokyo and also in Osaka. The Ebisu store just opened in January 6th, 2017, and has many Muslim-friendly menus. There is a Muslim staff working here, with a prayer space ready. It is a Paitan ramen made from rich chicken soup. They are creating HALAL ramen that is enjoyed by many Muslims with the hope of serving delicious Japanese ramen to everyone around the world.

Ayam-YA OKACHIMACHI (Taito-ku, Tokyo)

Ayam-YA, which is popular in Malaysia and Kyoto, finally opened a shop in Tokyo! Ayam means chicken in Indonesian, and it is a ramen shop where you can enjoy genuine Paitan soup HALAL ramen made without using any chemical ingredients. The Ueno Okachimachi mosque is nearby, and is convenient to stop by when you come for prayer. It is also close to Asakusa, which is a popular tourist attraction of Tokyo. You can charge energy with delicious ramen when you get tired from sightseeing, and stroll around later once are done energizing!

KUMAHACHI (Koto-ku, Tokyo)

This ramen restaurant was open last year. They serve ramen that uses Nansatsu Shokucho’s Halal chicken, homemade noodles, and Halal seasonings. The owner has travelled to more than 40 countries when he was young and come up with an idea of Muslim-friendly ramen. After he has developed it for two years, the ramen was eventually completed.

Shinjuku Gyoen Ramen Ouka (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo)

Ouka ramen is made with sea bream broth as a base and adding tomato as a secret ingredient. They have received HALAL certificate from the Otsuka mosque. The ramen set including ramen, HALAL chicken, and rice is from 1,100 yen. Please enjoy ramen from Ouka, which is unique from other HALAL ramens that we have introduced.

Ramen Takanoha (Chiba)

You can now eat the long-awaited Muslim-friendly ramen at Chiba Prefecture, where Tokyo Disneyland is located. Currently, Takanoha only has two Muslim-friendly menus of soy sauce flavored abura soba and traditional miso ramen, but are planning to add more menu items in the future. There is also a Muslim-friendly beauty salon nearby. Make sure to bring you CHIBA CITY MAP FOR MUSLIMS before heading off to Chiba!
