Muslim students at University of Tokyo, the famous university in Japan, must have a lot of routines activity on campus. Start of lecture, lab, research, until other extra curricular activities. Alhamdulillah, good news for Muslim community at the University of Tokyo. They did not have to go so far to shopping Halal snacks. Various Halal snacks have been provided at the University of Tokyo Coop Shop on Hongo campus.
In total there are 14 kinds of snacks are neatly arranged on a shelf marked Halal food. Starting from instant cup noodles, instant curry, chocolates, biscuits and potato chips are ready to be selected and put in your shopping cart.
The location in central campus which is just south under of the Yasuda Auditorium building, making it easy to reach. Also according to one of the Muslim students master programs University of Tokyo, Mochammad Ichsan, “here is good, close, and the price is affordable”. That’s right, the price range of Halal food products are offered only 54 Yen up to 228 Yen. It’s equal comparable to food products that are not Halal certified.
“Hopefully in future, there are more variants of halal food. Maybe also Halal bakery”, said Mochammad Ichsan. With the availability of Halal snacks on the University of Tokyo Coop Shop, may make Tokyo Muslim students more have passion for learning, and then this trend following on the other campus and stores to provide Halal snacks. That support Japanese a friendly Muslims country.
