Ise-Shima is the first post-war national park in Japan and has been designated in 1946. Lies in the southern part of Mie Prefecture, Ise-Shima can be reached by train within 1.5 hours from Nagoya and 2 hours from Osaka. The main attractions in Ise-Shima includes Ise-Jingu Grand Shrine which is one of the most important Shinto shrines in Japan. It is also widely known as the birthplace of cultivated pearl by Kokichi Mikimoto and the home of Ama, the traditional Japanese divers. There are also many restaurants where tourists can enjoy the freshest seasonal seafood, such as the famous Ise lobster and abalone. Ise-Shima has increased in popularity since hosting G7 Summit on May 26-27, 2016, that attended by the leaders of G7 countries, such as America, Canada, and France.

Collaborating with Nagoya Mosque, Ise-Shima is now trying to provide more Muslim welcome facilities to boost Muslim tourism. Please kindly check the list below to know Muslim welcome facilities in Ise-Shima.
