Tarumi district located on the west side of Kobe city has many tourist attractions such as Mitsui outlet park Marinpia Kobe, Akashi Kaikyō Bridge, Goshikizuka Mounded Tomb, Maiko park, Tarumi shopping arcade, etc., and is in the middle point between central Kobe and Himeji, and is also the entrance to Awaji Island. Many Muslims visit Kobe for the oldest mosque in Japan, so ART NOMURA decided to renovate the rooftop of their office and make a prayer space so that they can also enjoy their stay in Tarumi.
The following kakejiku (hanging scroll) can be found in the prayer space.

Words from Nomura-san from ART NOMURA
It took about a month for preparing, but we hope to share our experience to many people that prayer spaces can be established with little idea and some effort, that inconvenience of many Muslims will be resolved by this, and that they can feel great joy from being able to visit places in Japan they have always wanted to go but couldn’t due to inconvenience of prayer space.
