Islamic seminar for beginners was held
On April 30th, islamic seminar was held at Sekolah Republik Indonesia Tokyo (Tokyo Indonesian School) in Meguro-ku, Tokyo. The first session was a lecture “What is the Qur’an?” delivered by M.A. Kyoichiro Sugimoto. He explained Islam from a scientific point of view. In the second session, Ms. Arisa Maryam talked about how she has become Muslimah as a Japanese. After that, participants ate Halal bento filled with delicious Indonesian cuisine.
Sekolah Republik Indonesia Tokyo plans to build a new mosque in its ground. This mosque can accommodate 220 people, and the first floor will be used by women, the second and the third floor will be used by men. The construction of the mosque is scheduled to start in September, and finish in March next year. Muslim people will be able to worship easily, and the school become more and more convenient in the future.
