”Oimoyasan” was established in 1985 and is being sold mainly through online shopping. It is very popular in Japan and has earned various awards.
Our hoshiimo is made at a store that specializes in production and processing. From the cultivation process all the way to the processing, the store only uses domestic sweet potato (Shizuoka produce) as the ingredient for the hoshiimo.
Since we value traditional production method, we do not use any additives/sugars/etc., and we also make sure to conduct an agrichemical inspection. We place these efforts to make sure you can enjoy hoshiimo with peace of mind.
The production of hoshiimo is conducted by the president of “Oimoya” himself, who has been making hoshiimo for over 40 years.
This type of delicious soft hoshiimo can only be made by a person who possesses eyes, intuition, experience, etc. of an experienced craftsman.
The hoshiimo production of “Oimoya” is all made by hand work.
The president himself adjusts the length of steam/drying time, etc. by actually checking the condition of sweet potato.
We also use the traditional sun drying method for our drying method. It is truly a work of experienced professional since we carefully adjust the drying time by looking at the condition of the sky and sunlight! Needless to say, making hoshiimo requires huge amount of tedious work and time.

*It is normally delivered through a normal temperature delivery. Since hoshiimo can also be delivered under cool/frozen condition, you can put it inside a cool/frozen package with other items. After it’s been delivered to your home, please preserve it inside a freezer/refrigerator.
