Although there are still only few Muslim-friendly restaurants in Osaka area, “Chicken Dining Restaurant Tsuki no Odori” in Dotonbori of Osaka started offering smoked chicken, yakitori, miso hot pot, salt hot pot, ice cream, etc. under the guidance of Mr. Zohar, director of Kobe Muslim Mosque (prior reservation is required).
When the ingredients for hot pot were changed to HALAL ingredients, the taste turned out completely different from the soup that is usually offered, and so satisfying taste was created after many trial and error. International students Alfi, Icha, and Laila from Indonesia were also satisfied with the food, along with Mr. Zohar. They said that they have always wished to enjoy more Japanese food, and that wish finally came true, which made us very happy.
Mr. Tokunaga, the owner of the restaurant, mentioned that he would like to provide more delicious meals using HALAL ingredients while maintaining the flavor of dishes.
