Eid was celebrated by Muslims around the world
Written by Mrs. Kamran
Eid is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims world wide that marks the end of Ramadan.
During this holy month Ramadan Yokohama Masjid is the busiest Masjid. Our Muslim brothers prepare Iftar (Iftar means the meal eaten by Muslims after sunset during Ramadan) and dinner for the ones who are fasting followed by Tarawih (Tarawih refers to extra prayers performed by Muslims at night in the Islamic month of Ramadan)
Eid falls on the first day of the Shawwal. Muslims are not permitted to fast on Eid day. Eid has a particular Salat (Islamic prayer).
