The world’s largest gathering event of HALAL trade show, MIHAS (Malaysia International Halal Showcase) was held in Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. The theme for the 13th annual show was “Experience Halal.” A total of 528 exhibitors from 29 different countries and regions participated, attracting 25,000 visitors in 4 days.
A total of 11 Japanese companies exhibited in the Japan pavilion. Mr. Najib, the current Prime Minister of Malaysia, stopped by for live cooking which was an event that explained the methods for using ingredients and characteristics of Japanese cooking, and attracted great amount of attention.
